Independent Organization

Veterans Manufacturing Network (“VMN”) is an independent private organization.

VMN is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by:

  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • U.S. Department of Defense
  • U.S. Small Business Administration
  • Any other federal, state, or local government certification authority

Veteran-Owned Business Information

Businesses listed on VMN may identify themselves as veteran-owned, veteran-operated, veteran-affiliated, service-disabled veteran-owned, or otherwise associated with veteran leadership.

Information displayed by VMN may be based on information submitted by the business, publicly available information, documentation provided to VMN, third-party sources, or review procedures established by VMN.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a listing or designation appearing on VMN does not constitute official federal, state, or local government certification.

VMN Verification

VMN may establish its own review or verification procedures for participating businesses.

If VMN offers a designation such as “VMN Verified,” that designation means only that the business has completed the review process and satisfied the criteria established by VMN at that time.

VMN verification does not constitute:

  • Government certification
  • A guarantee of veteran ownership under any government program
  • A guarantee of manufacturing quality
  • A guarantee of manufacturing capability
  • A guarantee of supplier performance
  • A guarantee of contract eligibility
  • An endorsement of any particular product or service

Manufacturing Capabilities

Information regarding manufacturing processes, equipment, certifications, capacity, materials, industries served, and other business capabilities may be provided directly by participating businesses.

Manufacturing capabilities, equipment, personnel, certifications, and capacity may change over time.

Buyers should independently verify supplier capabilities and qualifications before entering into a commercial agreement or issuing a purchase order.

Buyer Responsibility

VMN is designed to help buyers discover potential manufacturing partners. It does not replace a buyer's normal supplier qualification or due diligence process.

Buyers remain responsible for confirming matters including certifications, equipment, capacity, quality requirements, insurance, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity requirements, domestic sourcing requirements, and other project-specific qualifications.
