Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Veterans Manufacturing Network, including our website, business directory, manufacturer profiles, forms, communications, and related services.
1. About Veterans Manufacturing Network
Veterans Manufacturing Network (“VMN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent private network intended to help buyers discover and connect with veteran-owned, veteran-led, and veteran-affiliated American manufacturing businesses and related suppliers.
By accessing or using VMN, submitting information, creating or claiming a business profile, or otherwise participating in the network, you agree to these Terms of Use.
2. What VMN Is — and Is Not
VMN is intended to function as:
- A manufacturing discovery network
- A business directory
- A connection platform between buyers and manufacturers
- A platform highlighting veteran leadership in American manufacturing
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, VMN is not:
- A manufacturer, supplier, distributor, or reseller
- A government agency or certification authority
- A purchasing or sourcing agent for any user
- An engineering firm
- An agent or representative of any listed company
- A party to transactions between buyers and suppliers
3. Business Profiles & Submitted Information
Businesses may submit information including company history, ownership information, veteran affiliation, military background, manufacturing capabilities, equipment, materials, certifications, industries served, facility information, photographs, logos, videos, websites, and contact information.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is truthful, accurate, current, lawful, and authorized for publication.
VMN reserves the right to review, edit, reject, suspend, flag, or remove information or listings that we reasonably believe are inaccurate, misleading, outdated, unlawful, or inconsistent with network standards.
4. Veteran Status & Certifications
A VMN listing, badge, designation, profile status, or similar indicator does not by itself constitute official government certification.
VMN is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Small Business Administration, or any other governmental agency.
Businesses and buyers requiring official VOSB, SDVOSB, or other government certification are responsible for independently confirming that status through the appropriate government source.
5. Manufacturing Information
Manufacturing capabilities, equipment, certifications, tolerances, capacity, materials, quality systems, lead times, and other information may be supplied directly by participating businesses.
VMN does not guarantee that every listing is complete, current, or error-free.
6. Buyer Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for conducting appropriate supplier qualification and due diligence before issuing a purchase order, entering a contract, providing confidential information, or otherwise relying upon a listed business.
Depending on the project, buyers should independently confirm matters such as manufacturing capability, quality systems, certifications, insurance, regulatory requirements, cybersecurity requirements, domestic sourcing requirements, capacity, pricing, and lead time.
7. Transactions Between Users
Unless VMN expressly agrees otherwise in writing, commercial transactions are solely between the buyer and supplier.
The parties are responsible for establishing their own pricing, payment terms, specifications, drawings, tolerances, confidentiality requirements, intellectual-property terms, warranties, inspection requirements, taxes, shipping arrangements, and other commercial terms.
VMN is not responsible for disputes arising between users.
8. No Guarantee of Business Opportunities
Participation in VMN does not guarantee inquiries, RFQs, sales, purchase orders, government contracts, commercial contracts, website traffic, revenue, search ranking, or any particular business result.
9. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to VMN.
By submitting logos, photographs, business descriptions, videos, or other content, you grant VMN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote VMN and your participating business.
You represent that you own or have sufficient rights to submit the content you provide.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use VMN to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Falsely claim veteran ownership or military service
- Falsely claim certifications, equipment, customers, or capabilities
- Impersonate another person or business
- Submit information without proper authority
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other rights
- Upload malicious software or interfere with website security
- Scrape or systematically extract VMN directory data without permission
- Create a competing database using VMN information
- Use the Services for fraud, spam, abuse, or unlawful activity
11. VMN Intellectual Property
Except for user-submitted content and third-party materials, the VMN name, branding, website, database organization, graphics, written content, designs, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to VMN and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
12. Third-Party Websites
VMN may link to manufacturer websites, government databases, certification resources, social networks, and other third-party services.
VMN does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, security, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices.
13. Suspension & Removal
VMN may reject, edit, suspend, restrict, or remove profiles, content, or access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate suspected fraud or misrepresentation, comply with law, or maintain the integrity of the network.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VMN is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
VMN does not warrant that supplier information is complete, current, accurate, error-free, or suitable for any particular project or application.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VMN and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the network.
VMN is not responsible for losses arising from the conduct, products, services, representations, omissions, or failure of any buyer, manufacturer, supplier, or other third party.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VMN's total liability arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to VMN during the preceding twelve months or $100.
16. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless VMN and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your use of the Services, your submitted information, your products or services, your transactions with other users, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another party's rights.
17. Privacy
Use of personal information is governed by the VMN Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to These Terms
VMN may update these Terms as the network evolves. When material changes are made, the effective date displayed on this page will be updated.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing, disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Cherokee County, Georgia.
